Unity Desktop Manual or Automatic Update

Unity can be updated manually or configured to automatically update when a new version is available. 

To allow Unity to update automatically simply tick the box in settings>update as shown below.

When a new version of Unity is available the user will be presented with a popup asking to restart Unity.

Once Unity has restarted the latest version will be running. 

You can also configure how often Unity looks for updates under the auto update box.

To manually update Unity, click Perform manual update now button. Unity will search for any new updates.
